PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Alexander Building Construction Co. requests proposals for the UP-FY 18-23 Capital Systems Renewal Program - Elevator Construction 2B on behalf of Pennsylvania State University. The scope of work consists of elevator modernizations and associated upgrades to elevators serving the Patterson Building, Reber Building, Tyson Building, and Mateer Building on PSU's University Park Campus. The anticipated bid due date is August 29, 2023, with construction starting in Summer 2024.

PRE-BID NOTES

Please meet first in Reber’s parking lot behind Hammond Building and between the Engineering Units. Once complete, we will head to Patterson, then Tyson, and finish our walk at Mateer Building. Physical handouts that include additional pertinent information will be distributed to all attendees.

PREQUALIFICATION

All Trade Contractors interested in the upcoming Capital System Renewal Program Projects must be PSU prequalified before the bidding due date. To obtain prequalification documents, contact Tina Petrie ([email protected]) at Alexander Building Construction Co, referencing the PSU Capital Systems Renewal Program.  Prequalification documents shall be submitted directly to Tina Petrie ([email protected]) at Alexander Building Construction Co. All prequalification documents need to be completed and returned by Aug. 29, 2023. Any pre-qualifications sent after the due date will not be accepted.  Any proposals from bidders who are not prequalified at the time of bid will not be accepted. 

BIDDING

The project will be bid through Pipeline.

As a project delegated to Penn State by the Pennsylvania Department of General Services (DGS), this bid opening is public via Zoom Webinar. Registration is required. Zoom will send a confirmation email with the URL to access the webinar. Organizers will Admit registrants to the bid opening at 3:00 p.m.
