Business Administration

Serves as the primary master access coordinator and point of contact for all access-related issues within OPP-controlled spaces, including building lock/unlock schedules, access management strategies, and strategic access decision-making to meet operational needs and University policy requirements. 

Delivers essential, high-volume administrative, organizational, and customer service support to the OPP at University Park and the Commonwealth Campus Facilities. The team helps ensure efficient and effective operations by providing administrative expertise, coordinating key business processes, and supporting the day-to-day needs of the organization.

Responsible for environmental regulatory compliance coordination and support for OPP projects and facility operations through permit management, compliance reporting, agency coordination, data management, site and program audits, remediation activities, technical support and environmental stewardship.

Administers OPP cost objects and approves financial documents to ensure compliance with University policy. The team supports budget analysis and financial reporting, provides accurate and timely data for management decisions, and generates billings for maintenance, renovation, and construction work.

Strives to foster a proactive safety mindset throughout OPP, actively works to make OPP a safe place to work, and ensures the organization fulfills its core value of employee safety. 

Serves as Penn State's maintenance warehouse, managing thousands of inventory items that support the daily upkeep of campus facilities. OPP Buyers purchase the supplies and services needed for campus maintenance, helping ensure technicians have the materials required to keep facilities operating smoothly.

Processes labor charges for OPP’s Technical Service, part-time, and wage payroll employees at University Park, as well as Commonwealth Campus Facilities Operations employees. The team also provides payroll support, oversight, and guidance for OPP’s approximately 1,600 employees across the University.
