Ceramics Buildings Mezzanine Fan Room (Restricted Entry)
Purpose:
To provide OPP personnel who may need to perform work in the Mezzanine Fan Room with guidelines for access and working within the area.
Policies and Procedures:
When kilns are running, do not work in the Mezzanine. If work must be performed, call Environmental Health and Safety (865-6391) before entry. Be sure the ventilation is turned on.
When the kilns are running, if the area is not properly ventilated an accumulation of carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide may occur, which requires monitoring. It is for the health and safety of All University Employees to utilize the ventilation fan during necessary access to this area.
Date of Policy:
October 1992
