Barrier Facility Access Procedure at the Animal Behavior Lab
Purpose:
To protect the health and safety of all individuals who enter the Barrier Facility.
Policies and Procedures:
Access to the Barrier Facility is very restricted. Approval must be obtained from Tobey Stout*, Mark Borkowski* or Jerry McClarren* before work is done to the equipment in the mechanical rooms or electrical rooms that serve the area. Warning signs have been posted at these areas.
No work will be performed in the Barrier Facility without following stringent decontamination procedures before entering. If it becomes necessary for an OPP employee to perform work in the Barrier Facility, he/she will be required to work closely with Barrier Facility personnel.
The Service Desk will control a key that will give OPP employees access to the mechanical/electrical rooms when necessary. Extreme caution must be used when providing service to this area so the experimentation is not affected.
