Airport Security and Safety
Purpose:
To set OPP policy to assist the University Park Airport personnel in identifying all OPP personnel who are on the property at all times.
Policies and Procedures:
All OPP personnel must check in and out at the Administration Building, which is the red brick building, before they go anywhere else on University Park Airport property.
When any Technician needs to perform work on either the runway or taxiway lights, they must do the following:
- Pick up a KWQ radio and set on Channel 1.
- If the work you are going to perform requires you to drive inside the fenced -in area, check the vehicle in which you will be driving for a functioning cigarette lighter for use with an Emergency Light.
- Upon arrival at the Airport Administration Building, pick up an Emergency Light and install it on top of the vehicle in which you are driving.
- Upon completion, report back to the Administration Building.
Date of Policy:
January 1994
