Design & Construction Minority and Women Business Enterprise Program
"Establishing Business Relationships Through the Promotion of Diversity"
Penn State's Minority and Women Business Enterprise Program
Thank you for your interest in doing business with Penn State University. At Penn State, we are committed to fostering and promoting diversity in all that we do—in fact its one of our unit's key initiatives. We are striving to create new ways of involving diversity into our everyday business, curriculum, and lives.
Through the Office of Physical Plant’s Design and Construction Division, the Minority and Women Business Enterprise (MBE/WBE) Program reaffirms the University’s commitment to increase the opportunities for and participation of minority and women businesses in its procurement of goods and services related to University construction.
Through this program our goal is to encourage MBE/WBE participation in our procurement/bidding process, strengthen business relationships with minority and women business enterprises, and to establish a continued relationship with them for future projects.
Our mission is to deliver the best value and highest quality products and services by encouraging competition among all contactors and suppliers. Penn State recognizes supplier diversity as an important component of its overall construction effort and will continue to foster relationships with minority and women business enterprises to increase the utilization of Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises for construction and construction related projects.
