The Office of Physical Plant (OPP) is a "support business." We exist to enable The Pennsylvania State University to accomplish its threefold mission of Teaching,  Research and Service. The University mission is simple, yet, far reaching: "Penn State is a multi-campus, public, land-grant University that improves the lives of people in Pennsylvania, the nation, and the world through integrated, high-quality programs in teaching, research, and outreach."

Penn State is one of the premier universities in the nation. It is known for; the beauty of its campuses, its commitment to customer service and the efficiency of its operations.  These characteristics are reflected in OPP's dedication, hard work and professionalism.  Each and every person of the OPP Team is important and contributes an essential element in the success of our Institution; whether as a custodian cleaning a classroom, a Power Plant operator producing steam for the residence halls, or a staff assistant processing invoices so vendors can get paid.
