To design, develop and implement programs and practices which promote the understanding, acceptance and appreciation of differences and similarities between individuals in the Office of Physical Plant

Action Plan:
The Diversity QMB plans to pursue the following list of actions for fiscal year 2004-2005:
- Arrange a "Straight Talk"
session for supervisors - Provide sessions for all OPP employees on "White Men as Full Diversity Partners"
- Develop specific SRDP guidance for the Diversity component
- Conduct focus group on "How and Why we should Diversify"
- Continue to focus on minority recruitment in entry level staff and apprentice positions
- Develop and implement a multi-year intern plan
- Interview our current diverse employees
- Conduct focus group to examine retention issues
- Participate in mentor program and encourage our eligible employees to participate
- Continue the climate surveys
- Provide diversity articles and information in News and Views and OPP Diversity Info Page
