Problem/Background:
- The need for improvement in communications was highlighted in the following surveys:
- OPP Customer Survey
- PSU Faculty/Staff Survey
- OPP Diversity Survey
- As a major business area, management improvements will generate more significant fiscal impacts
- Budget reductions at the University require more efficient and economic processes in all business areas
- Decentralization of Janitorial Services has made it difficult to ensure consistency across all Janitorial operations
- Multiple improvement efforts are under way through Process Action Teams (PATs), these need to be coordinated and ideas implemented
Objectives:
- Establish and support PATs as necessary to examine processes associated with Janitorial work
- Coordinate implementation of janitorial improvement efforts
Constraints/Resources:
No additional external resources will be available
Key Performance Measures:
- Successful development and implementation of janitorial improvement efforts
- Individual measures will be established for these improvements
