Problem/Background:
Excessive time is spent troubleshooting building systems:
- Existing facility documentation is located in multiple locations
- The Facility Documentation PAT from the first round worked on the process of making information readily available in the field - build on this effort
- Existing documentation ranges from "nothing", to "as-designed with as-built dates", to "as-builts updated with maintenance/operating changes"
- With the de-centralization of trades, it is more important than ever to have up-to-date system documentation to improve productivity for all groups, on all shifts
Objective:
Reduce the time spent troubleshooting building systems due to lack of accurate, up-to-date system documentation
Constraints/Resources:
- Seed money for investment in new equipment, technology, etc. would be available
- No additional staffing will be available
- Co-ordinate work and partner with the Maintenance of CCS/ATC Field PAT
Key Performance Measures:
Total time spent troubleshooting building systems
Expected Results:
Develop and implement a process to maintain up-to-date system documentation, minimizing the cost and effort to maintain the process as facilities are added or renovated
Review Milestones:
- Flow diagram for the existing process is complete
- Team has completed evaluations of options
- Implementation plan has been developed
Desired Report Out Date:
