Goal:
Review and revise the major project delivery process to adapt to the Work Control System (WCS) and improve the process

Background:
Major projects are larger than $25,000 but do not include capital (B.O.T.) or DGS projects
Objectives:
- Improve the efficiency of the major project delivery system
- Reduce the turnaround time for major projects -- both design and construction
- Reduce the variation between estimated costs for major projects and actual costs
- Improve customer survey responses
Constraints:
- Operate within the established staffing and budget allocations
- Work within the WCS flowchart for Major Project System
- Changes to be approved by the sponsor
- Complete work within the established schedule
Coordination:
- Must work with the other WCS PA/RTs for coordination of the entire WCS process
- Work with ITS changes to the information systems PA/RT, Major Project, Charter

- Design backlog (major projects)
- Construction backlog (major projects)
- Turnaround time for designs (major projects)
- Turnaround time for construction (major projects)
- % variation between major project estimates and actual costs

- Post major project customer surveys
