Welcome to the Office of Physical Plant!

Here at the Office of Physical Plant (OPP) we are in the "support business." We exist to enable The Pennsylvania State University to accomplish its threefold mission of Teaching, Research and Service. The University mission is simple, yet, far reaching: "Penn State is a multicampus, public, land-grant University that improves the lives of people in Pennsylvania, the nation, and the world through integrated, high-quality programs in teaching, research, and outreach."

Penn State is one of the premier universities in the nation. It is known for its beauty and efficiency. Both of these characteristics are a reflection of the OPP Team's dedication, hard work and professionalism. Each and every person of the OPP Team is important and contributes an essential element in the success of our Institution. Whether a janitor cleaning a classroom, a Power Plant operator producing steam for a research lab, or a staff assistant processing time cards so people can get paid (and I could go on!), all play a key part in the bigger picture.
