Central Control Systems

The Central Control System group of Central Services is comprised of seventeen employees. Central Control Systems (CCS) is a network of computer systems that provides monitoring and remote control of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), lighting, and utilities for all major University Park facilities.

The group is comprised of two sections: Operations and Support Staff. The operations group offers twenty-four hour coverage for alarm monitoring, answering customer calls, and providing system data for technicians. They also provide backup coverage for the Service Desk operations. Five technicians service and maintain the system network infrastructure and components. The support staff is responsible for systems programming, graphics, specifications, servers, software, and documentation. They also provide technical support to the service technicians, customers, and consultants.
