Physical Plant Building - Loading Dock

The OPP Store's personnel are responsible for the overall inventory management for OPP . We review all departmental material needs, funding sources, and order practices. We manage the flow of all materials ordered for tasks, projects, and inventory replenishments. For Inventory Management, we evaluate stock requests from the trades. We maintain the OPP Store's inventory and the inventory catalog. We perform and recommend methods and procedures pertaining to the inventory and to non-inventory procurement activities. We select and recommend vendors for purchases and determine the most cost effective and economical procurement methods. We establish and maintain an effective line of communication with the University's Purchasing Office. In addition, we are responsible for the cost-effective operation of the OPP Store's Material Delivery Program, mailroom and courier services for OPP , and the OPP Tool Crib.

Mission

Provide timely material management and services to the OPP workforce, other university departments and to the commonwealth campuses on a cost effective basis.

OPP Stores' Catalog

OPP Store's personnel in cooperation with Information Technology Services (ITS) have developed the OPP Web Catalog. Both OPP and University personnel may log in and use the catalog if one has a PSU Access ID. Information about obtaining and using your PSU Access ID can be found on the ITS web page: Your User ID and Password. OPP Stores personnel will electronically process your request. Non- OPP customers can speed up the procurement process by establishing a Standing Order (SO) with OPP Stores. Some time after you complete the request for an SO, you will receive an email indicating whether your request has been accepted or rejected, and than you can start using the catalog to order supplies more expeditiously.
