Commissioning Services are provided in several different ways through this group. Technical Service manpower and associated Supervision is provided to the Continuous Commissioning Program operated by Engineering Services. Included with this service is a dedicated Cx Systems Analyst that works with the Tech Service personnel and Engineering Services to achieve the greatest energy savings possible in each building.
This group also acts as a liaison to all third party commissioning agents hired by PSU. A Cx Specialist is assigned to assist the third party Cx Agent so that the process that Penn State prefers to use is followed. A Tech Service person is also assigned to assist in this effort.
New or Renovated buildings are sometimes commissioned directly by this department. In that effort, our Cx Specialist acts as the "Cx Agent" with assistance from an Engineering Services Cx Engineer.
Commissioning Services Mission Statement:
Identify and implement commissioning projects that maximize customer environmental satisfaction and minimizes energy usage for the University with courteous, reliable personnel.
