Compromised Computer Incident Update

You may have received a letter from us dated March 12, 2009 alerting you that a computer in the Office of Physical Plant had been infected with malicious software and that further investigation revealed that your Social Security Number was listed in a historical document on that computer.  If you did not receive such a letter, your SSN was not listed in the document and you can disregard this posting.

For those of you who did receive the letter, included in that communication was a document providing information as to how you could access free copies of your credit reports. It has been brought to our attention that one of the websites listed was incorrect. The official site for acquiring free annual credit reports as required by law is (https://www.annualcreditreport.com). Please do not use the link to "freecreditreports.com", which you may have seen advertised on television.
